I've been in a kind of shitty mood today, so I thought it would be a good idea to do some writing. Nothing guided, but something to maybe help me with some perspective. I understand that a good way to do this is through listing things that you're grateful for, so here we go. Also, I'm going to do this in the style of a David Letterman Top 10 List.
I present to you, from the home office in Normal Heights, the Top 10 Things I'm Grateful for on a Wednesday Night....
10. Milk Duds
9. Super Moons
8. Interesting Shadows
7. My 1 year old son
6. Bottle Rockets and the movie Bottle Rocket
5. Spicy Meatballs (s/o Sisters Pizza)
4. My Girl Matzah
3. My Wife Laura
2. Loose fitting T-Shirts
And the Number One Thing that I am Grateful for on a Wednesday Night in August.....
Seriously though, even though I'm dealing with some thyroid bullshit and I don't know if it's coming or going right now, I have much to be grateful for.
My other plan was to write some thoughts on Forks (S2,e7 of FX's The Bear) but honestly, I don't know what to write about it right now. I can only say that it was and is one of those episodes of television that made me feel absolutely elated. There's an energy to it that somehow leaps off the screen and into the viewer. And while I don't really have the words right now, and I definitely don't have the patience or energy to try to find them, I'll add some stills from the episode here, just to make it seem like I put some effort into this.
