Orange is the new black is the first Netflix original show that I've watched. So let me start out by stating that I think the format is really liberating for series creators. Not being locked into standard network or even cable timeslot restrictions that dictate your run time helps keep episodes tight. One of the best things about Orange was that none of the episodes felt too long or too short, they were all just right. For the uninitiated the show is centered around Piper Hampton a 20 something Wasp that is engaged to a 30-something struggling writer. Nothing like logging on to blogger and finding a 10 year old review for a show that you didn't really like in the first place.
